The members of New Salem Baptist Church, together as a body of
believers, called by God and with Jesus Christ as our example, believe
our mission is to glorify God in all we do.  Our vision is to meet the spiritual
and physical needs of each other.  The church members values
are to strive to live by faith; walk together in Christian love.  The church
long-range goals are to keep her doors open for all who seek the
preaching and teaching of God’s word; a warm and friendly fellowship
and the opportunity to serve.

              New Salem Baptist Church is affiliated with the Shiloh Baptist
                    Association, the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and the
Southern Baptist Convention.  

The church is involved with our local community ministry by
providing local schools with supplies, food drive for the needy supplies for the
women’s shelter, and lap throws for the nursing homes.  

                        The members of the church visit, call, and send cards to the
elders, sick, and those who are hospitalized.  The church likes to keep in
touch with the members who are unable to attend church.
